Fast E-Waste Collection for Offices and Urgent Clear-Outs
Same-day and after-hours e-waste pickup for offices and commercial decommissioning. Workstations of IT, server racks, monitors, printers — collected, sorted, and routed through licensed recyclers.
E-waste on a deadline — what changes
Most e-waste sits for months before someone schedules a pickup. The jobs that come to Junk Express are the opposite — IT refresh today, office decommissioning before Friday's inspection, departing-staff workstations clogging the storeroom before the auditor visit.
A same-day e-waste run is harder than a planned one because everything compresses into a single access window: lift booking, sorting on site, loading the truck, and routing into the licensed chain — all inside the hours your building gave you. That's what same-day capacity actually buys.
What stays the same: routing through licensed e-waste intermediaries (we're not NEA-licensed ourselves), sorting at source so monitors and toner cartridges don't end up mixed with general waste, and the honest disclaimer that data destruction isn't part of the pickup — wipe drives first.
What changes: the order of operations. On a same-day, we ask for the deadline up front, work backwards from your building's access window, and tell you straight whether your lot is feasible today. If it isn't, we say so before you commit.
Three e-waste lots we clear under deadline
Same-day capacity gets spent on these three patterns. Photo the lot, send the deadline, and we'll tell you if we can hit it.
Workstation lots
Office decommissioning, IT refresh day, departing-staff desks.
- ▸Desktop towers + monitors
- ▸Laptops + docks + chargers
- ▸Server racks + networking gear
- ▸UPS units (intact e-waste form)
Office peripherals
Cleared alongside workstation lots or on standalone pickups.
- ▸Printers, copiers, scanners
- ▸Phones + tablets + cables
- ▸Toner cartridges + accessories
- ▸AV equipment + projectors
Appliance turnover
Delivery-day swaps, pantry refits, F&B closures.
- ▸Fridges + freezers (disconnected)
- ▸Washers + dryers
- ▸Air-con units (already disconnected)
- ▸Pantry appliances + microwaves
Something not on the list? Photo it on WhatsApp — fast yes or no.
What we don't take, regardless of deadline: loose lithium batteries outside a device, cars or motorcycles, chemicals, asbestos, food waste, gas tanks.
Routing that survives a same-day window
Sort during pickup, not at a depot
Even on a two-hour window, the crew separates monitors, toner cartridges, cables, and metal cases as we load. Faster overall than depot sorting — and it's what stops a same-day run from collapsing into mixed waste.
Licensed intermediaries do the recovery
Items leave our truck for licensed waste-management intermediaries equipped for dismantling, metal/plastic separation, and hazardous-component routing. We're not the end of the chain — we're the part that gets it from your storeroom into the right hands.
What we aren't, said plainly
Not NEA-licensed. Not a data-destruction specialist. If you need formal destruction certificates or NEA paperwork on the day, that's a licensed operator's lane — book one. For everything else, fast pickup + responsible routing is exactly what we do.
When e-waste becomes urgent
Most e-waste sits in storerooms for years. These four situations are where the deadline isn't moving — and where same-day pickup actually earns its keep.
Office decommissioning
Lease ends and the IT workstations need to be gone before QS inspection. Twenty desks of dual-monitor setups don't disappear themselves.
IT refresh day
New hardware lands today, old hardware needs to leave the floor before the rollout team starts swapping. Same-day pickup keeps the cabling and footprint clean.
Departing-staff workstations
Headcount drop or office consolidation — abandoned monitors, towers, and dock stations accumulate fast in the storeroom. Clear before they grow into a fire risk.
Renovation handover
Office reno or fit-out finishing today; old server-room gear or AV rack debris needs to be cleared so the next contractor phase can move in.
Same-day e-waste pickup workflow
WhatsApp photos + deadline
Wide-angle photos of the storeroom or workstation lot, plus the time you need it gone by. The faster we can size the volume from the chat, the faster we dispatch.
Same-day feasibility + access window
We confirm whether your deadline is feasible given remaining capacity and your building's access window. After-hours and Sunday pickups carry surcharges, confirmed before dispatch.
Crew collects, sorts at source, routes
Crew arrives, sorts at your premises so recyclables don't default into general waste, transports to licensed e-waste intermediaries. Speed doesn't change the routing.
What speed doesn't change
The fast lane sometimes carries the assumption that corners are being cut. Here's what stays exactly the same on a same-day e-waste pickup as on a planned one.
Hazardous components still get the right channel
CRT monitors carry lead. Smartphones carry mercury and cadmium. Lithium batteries become fire risks the longer they sit. These don't go into general waste because the timeline is tight — they go through the licensed routes regardless.
Recoverable materials still get recovered
Copper, aluminium, gold, palladium, rare-earth elements — material recovery happens at the licensed intermediary we route into, not at our truck. Speed at our end doesn't shortcut their process.
Sort-at-source is non-negotiable
Even on a two-hour access window, separating e-waste from general bulky items happens at your premises. If we can't sort on-site, we don't pick up — we'd rather reschedule than load a mixed truck.
What we don't do, regardless of speed
Issue NEA destruction certificates. Wipe drives. Take loose lithium cells outside a device. Same-day doesn't change those limits — they're what they are. Engage a specialist where you need that paperwork.
Frequently Asked Questions
Typical lead time is 24–48 hours from when we confirm the booking. Same-day collection is sometimes available subject to availability and may incur an extra charge — message us and we'll let you know what's feasible for your timing.
Phones, tablets, laptops, desktops, TVs, monitors, printers, scanners, networking gear, cables, chargers, small kitchen appliances, and large appliances like fridges, washers and air-con units. If you're unsure whether something qualifies, send us a photo on WhatsApp and we'll confirm.
We collect batteries only when they're part of a proper e-waste setup (e.g. inside a UPS unit or with the original device). Loose lithium cells and damaged batteries need to go through dedicated battery-recycling channels — we can point you to the correct drop-off if you're unsure.
We don't run a recycling facility ourselves. Items go through licensed waste-management intermediaries who handle proper material recovery — separating metals, plastics, and other streams — before anything reaches the general disposal chain. We don't claim NEA-licensed status, and we don't offer certificates of destruction. For organisations that need formal documentation, you'll want a NEA-licensed e-waste collector who provides that paperwork directly.
Yes — bulk office clearances are part of what we do. PCs, monitors, printers, networking equipment, peripherals, accumulated old hardware. We can schedule outside business hours where access allows; after-hours pickups carry an extra charge. Note we don't provide formal data-destruction certificates — for offices with strict data-handling requirements, wipe drives before collection or engage a specialist data-destruction provider.
We strongly recommend wiping or destroying drives yourself before collection if your data is sensitive. Once items leave your premises with us, we route them into the recycling chain — but we don't provide formal data-destruction certificates and aren't a substitute for specialist data-sanitisation services if your organisation requires that paperwork.
