Washing Machine Disposal Singapore

The new washer arrives Tuesday and the old one is still plumbed in. Or the drum seized mid-cycle, there's water pooled on the laundry floor, and you need the thing out before the plumber can fit the replacement. Maybe you're handing back a rental flat next week and the landlord wants the space cleared.

Whatever the deadline, we take the washing machine off your hands — and we've been doing exactly this across Singapore for over ten years.

What Actually Makes a Washing Machine Awkward to Remove

A front-loader is deceptively heavy. Inside that steel cabinet sit concrete counterweights bolted to the drum housing, there to stop the machine walking across the floor during a spin cycle. Two people and a trolley are the minimum to move one safely. A top-loader is lighter but tall and top-heavy, which makes it unstable on a trolley going through doorways.

Machines fitted under a kitchen counter need to be slid out of the recess first, clearing the worktop lip and any plumbing behind. Stacked washer-dryer pairs get separated before anything moves — the dryer comes off the top, then the washer follows. Our crew disconnects the inlet and drain hoses and handles the lifting and manoeuvring, and there's prep you can do the day before that makes the whole job faster.

Before We Arrive

Every washing machine holds residual water after its last use — sitting in the drum, the pump housing, and the hoses. A front-loader has a small pump-filter panel at the bottom front of the cabinet. Open it over a shallow tray or old towel, twist the filter cap, and let the water drain out. Then pull the drain hose from the floor trap and let that empty too.

Turn off the water tap behind the machine; we'll take the hoses off on the day. If the machine is built under a counter, pull it forward enough that we can get a grip on the sides without dismantling your kitchen.

Draining the water beforehand means no puddles trailing through your flat to the lift. If you can't get to it, tell us when you book.

Where Your Old Washer Ends Up

The steel cabinet, the stainless-steel drum, and the motor are all recyclable metal. We route old washing machines through recycling intermediaries who strip and sort the materials. For a broader look at how we handle all household appliances, see our appliance removal service page.

HDB Flats

Standard passenger lifts and corridor widths in most HDB blocks accommodate a washing machine on a trolley without drama. No service lift exists in HDB estates, so we time the move to avoid peak lift traffic. If your block is a walk-up without a lift, let us know at the quote stage — surcharges apply for stair carries.

Condos and Private Apartments

Most condos require MCST approval before bulky items move through common areas. You'll need to arrange that permission and any lift booking with your building management before our pickup day. Where the MCST requires lift padding, that's provided and arranged by building management on your end. Once access is sorted, we handle the rest. If you're clearing more than just the washer — a fridge, perhaps, or a full kitchen refit — our fridge removal page covers the specifics for refrigerators, and our e-waste overview explains how we handle mixed appliance loads.

FAQ

Do you pay for old washing machines or offer any trade-in value? No. We're a disposal service, not a buyback operation. There's no cash, credit, or trade-in offered for any item we collect, regardless of brand or condition. The quote you receive covers removal and responsible disposal.

Can you remove a stacked washer-dryer unit? Yes. Our crew separates the dryer from the washer on-site before moving each unit individually. Let us know it's a stacked pair when you send the photo so we quote accurately — the job takes a bit longer than a standalone machine.

Is the machine drained before you take it, or do you handle that? Ideally you drain it the day before; if that isn't possible, tell us when you book. Front-loaders hold more residual water than people expect, especially in the pump housing, and draining through the filter panel at the bottom front saves your corridor from a water trail. Turn off the tap while you're at it, and we'll handle the hoses.
