When the Hospital Bed No Longer Needs to Be There
A parent has moved into a nursing home. Or the family has said goodbye, and now there's a steel-framed hospital bed filling what used to be a bedroom. You need the room back — maybe for a flat handover, maybe because a regular bed is arriving, maybe because seeing it there every morning is just hard.
We understand. And we can usually take care of it quickly, subject to availability.
Before You Call Us: Is the Bed Rented?
Many home hospital beds in Singapore are rented from medical-supply companies. If yours is, it goes back to them — not to a disposal service. Check your rental agreement or call the supplier first. They'll arrange their own collection and you won't need us for the bed itself. (We can still take the mattress and other equipment if those are yours to dispose of.)

A Bed That Still Works May Be Wanted
A functioning hospital bed with a working motor and intact controls has value to another family going through what yours went through. Before disposal, it's worth asking around — community groups, your local social worker, or any organisation that redistributes medical equipment. If you've already tried and there are no takers, or the bed is no longer in working condition, that's where we come in.
How We Disassemble and Remove It
A home hospital bed isn't like a regular bed frame. It's a steel-framed unit on lockable castors, fitted with an electric motor and actuators that raise the head section, knee section and overall height. There's a wired hand control dangling from the rail and a control box mounted underneath, sometimes with a small backup battery inside.
Our crew works through it methodically. The headboard and footboard lift off first. Side rails unclip. The frame separates into two or three sections — that's how a full-sized hospital bed fits through a bedroom door and into a standard passenger lift. The motor, hand control and control box come off separately for e-waste sorting.
In our 10+ years clearing Singapore homes, we've taken apart a great many of these. The disassembly is the job. Carrying it out is the straightforward part, and your walls and floor stay as they were.
We Take the Rest of the Home-Care Equipment Too
A hospital bed rarely sits alone. The same trip can cover the pressure-relief or air mattress and its pump, a regular mattress layered on top, a wheelchair (manual or motorised), a mobility scooter or PMD, a commode chair, a walking frame — all the equipment that accumulated during a period of home care. One visit clears the room completely, so you're not left arranging multiple pickups for different items.

Where It All Goes
The steel frame is recycled as scrap metal. The motor, wiring, control box and any battery are separated and routed through proper e-waste recycling channels. Mattresses and foam components follow their own disposal stream. We won't quote you a recycling percentage because we don't track tonnage at the individual-job level, but metal and e-waste components are sorted, not landfilled.
HDB and Condo — What to Know
For HDB flats, the bed sections travel via the standard passenger lift and along the common corridor. There's no service lift in HDB blocks. Town councils do collect bulky items, but only if you've dismantled them yourself and placed them at the designated point — not practical for a motorised hospital bed with electrical components.
In a condo, the owner or tenant needs to arrange MCST approval and book the service lift before our arrival. If your building management requires lift padding, that's arranged through them directly. Rules differ between developments, so confirm them early, especially if you are working to a handover date.

FAQ
Is the hospital bed rented? Do I still call you? Check your rental agreement or contact the medical-supply company first. A rented bed goes back to the rental company, which normally arranges its own collection. If only the mattress or other home-care items are yours to dispose of, we can handle those separately. We only remove beds you own outright.
Do you buy or offer trade-in value for hospital beds? No. We are a disposal service and we do not pay for any items we collect, regardless of condition or resale value. If the bed still works and you'd like it to reach another family, we'd encourage you to explore that before calling us.
Can you take the wheelchair, commode chair and walking frame in the same trip? Yes. We routinely clear the full set of home-care equipment alongside the bed frame and mattress. List everything in your WhatsApp message so the quote covers the complete job.
