Commercial Kitchen Equipment Disposal Singapore

Your lease ends Thursday. The landlord wants the unit returned bare. And between you and the door sit two 200kg wok ranges, a six-door chiller, a bank of stainless prep counters bolted to the wall, and a grease-caked extraction hood that hasn't moved since the fit-out contractor installed it five years ago.

In our 10+ years clearing F&B units across Singapore — from hawker stalls in Ang Mo Kio to full-service restaurant kitchens in Clementi — we've learned one thing about commercial kitchen disposals: they're always heavier than the owner expects, and the deadline is always tighter than it should be.

What We Clear

Wok ranges and multi-ring burners. Kebab grills. Deep fryers. Commercial ovens — convection, deck, combi. Six-door reach-in fridges and chest freezers. Stainless steel prep tables, whether freestanding or wall-mounted. Bain-maries. Shelving racks. Dishwashers. Extraction hoods and ductwork sections (once disconnected). Ice machines. Display counters. Even the miscellaneous pile of pots, trays, and gastronorm pans that accumulates in every back-of-house storage corner.

We handle the full strip-out: from the front-of-house display fridge down to the last stainless rack in the dry store.

The Weight and Access Reality

Commercial kitchen equipment is built from heavy-gauge stainless steel. A single wok range can weigh north of 150kg. A walk-in chiller's panels, compressor unit, and racking — collectively — can fill half a lorry.

Then there's the access problem. Most F&B kitchens sit behind narrow service corridors, tight back-of-house doorways, and shared loading bays with time-slot restrictions. Shopping mall units often have a single service lift shared across multiple tenants, with booking windows controlled by the mall's management office.

We plan around all of this. Our crews of 2–4 (scaled to the job) bring the right equipment for controlled dismantling and extraction through constrained routes. But we need your help on one critical point: gas and water disconnection must be completed by your licensed plumber and gas contractor before we arrive. We do not disconnect utilities. That's a regulatory requirement handled by your appointed contractor, and it needs to be done and signed off before our crew touches the equipment.

The owner or tenant must also confirm access arrangements — loading bay slots, service lift bookings, any padding requirements from the MCST — directly with building management ahead of our scheduled pickup.

Where It Goes

Stainless steel and ferrous metals get separated and routed through licensed recycling channels rather than ending up in the general waste stream. Appliances containing refrigerants are handled through proper recycling intermediaries. We route reusable equipment away from landfill where possible. Nothing gets dumped indiscriminately.

Common Questions

Do you disconnect the gas line and water supply? No. Gas disconnection requires a licensed gas service worker; water disconnection requires a licensed plumber. Both must be completed and signed off before we can remove the equipment. Your contractor handles this.

Can you take a walk-in chiller? Yes — panels, compressor, racking, the lot. These are heavy, multi-component jobs. Send photos of the unit including the compressor location, and confirm whether gas has been recovered from the refrigerant circuit by a qualified technician.

How do you work around a tight hand-back date? We work to the tightest window your job allows, subject to availability. Surcharges may apply for after-hours, Sunday, or public holiday scheduling — all confirmed at quote stage so there are no surprises. Give us as much lead time as you can, and we'll lock in a slot that meets your deadline.
