What Actually Happens When We Remove a Dining Table

A solid teak eight-seater from a Bukit Timah estate can weigh north of 80 kg and needs three crew members just to tilt it through a doorway. Marble and tempered-glass tops get separated from the base before anything moves — stone cracks under flex stress, and glass tops that shift mid-carry are a safety problem, not just a logistics one.

Our crew (typically two to four, depending on the piece) will disassemble what needs disassembling on-site. Legs unbolt. Extension leaves slide out. Pedestal bases get walked to the vehicle separately from the top. For a standard four-to-six-seater in an HDB flat, the whole process from your dining area to our vehicle usually takes under 20 minutes.

HDB Flats

No service lift in an HDB block — just the standard passenger lift, which means the table goes in at an angle or gets partially disassembled first. A round marble top wider than the lift car? The legs come off and the top rides vertically, held by two crew. Your town council does offer bulky-item collection, but only if you've already dismantled the table yourself and placed it at the designated spot on the scheduled day. For a glass or stone top, that's not a realistic ask. We handle the full job, from your unit to our vehicle.

Condos and Landed Properties

Condo removals often involve a service lift booking and MCST approval. That's on you to arrange before the day — every building has different rules, and the owner or tenant needs to request permission directly from management. If lift padding is required, building management provides it. Once access is sorted, we work within whatever time window you've secured. For landed properties, ground-floor access is usually straightforward, but narrow gates or gravel driveways sometimes mean a longer carry. Send us a photo of the access path along with the table and we'll factor it in.

Where Your Table Goes Afterwards

Solid wood tables in decent condition get routed to second-hand channels where they'll see another home. Metal frames and hardware go to scrap recycling. Glass tops that survive removal intact may be reused; shattered or chipped glass goes through proper recycling channels via licensed intermediaries. Composite or laminate tables with no reuse value end up at disposal facilities after intermediary sorting.
