Last Minute Move-Out Clearance Singapore

Your tenancy ends tomorrow. The landlord's agent has scheduled a final inspection at 2pm. And there's still a queen mattress in the master bedroom, a broken shoe rack by the door, three bags of things nobody claimed, and a washing machine the next tenant doesn't want.

We've been on the other end of that WhatsApp message more times than we can count. In our 10+ years clearing Singapore flats and condos, handover-day jobs are some of the most common calls we take. The pressure is real: your deposit is at stake, the timeline is fixed, and the items aren't going to walk themselves to the kerb.

What We Typically Clear on Handover Day

Move-out leftovers follow a pattern. After a decade of these jobs, we know the usual suspects:

  • Mattresses and bed frames the movers refused to take
  • Bulky furniture that doesn't fit the new place — wardrobes, dining tables, TV consoles
  • Appliances left behind: washing machines, old fridges, window AC units
  • Accumulated household contents in storerooms and bomb shelters — fans, boxes of clothes, random electronics
  • Renovation remnants from a quick patch-up before handover

That storeroom full of bags and old electronics? We've cleared hundreds like it. The scope doesn't faze us. What matters is knowing exactly what's there so we can send the right crew and vehicle.

Honest Talk About Urgent Timelines

We won't pretend every last-minute request gets a guaranteed slot. Availability depends on our existing schedule for the day, and urgent-window jobs may carry additional charges — particularly for after-hours, Sundays, or public holidays.

What we can say: if there's a way to make it work, we will. We've built our operations around responding fast. But "fast" and "guaranteed same-day" aren't the same thing, and we'd rather be straight with you than overpromise.

Working Around Inspections and Tight Handovers

Your landlord or property agent likely wants to inspect the unit before releasing your deposit. That inspection window becomes our working deadline. If the agent needs the flat empty by noon so they can walk through at 1pm, we plan backwards from that.

Some handovers involve the new tenant moving in the same afternoon. We've handled back-to-back scenarios where we clear out at 10am and the new occupant's movers arrive at 2pm. Tight, but doable with proper coordination.

HDB and Condo Logistics

For HDB flats, we work with the standard passenger lift. No service lift exists in HDB blocks. If you're in a walk-up building or items need to come down via stairs, surcharges apply — we'll confirm this at the quote stage.

For condos, your MCST may require a service lift booking and protective padding for the lift car. That's between you and your building management. Book it ahead of our arrival. We work within whatever access window you've secured.

What Helps Us Land in Time

The tighter your deadline, the more preparation matters on your end:

  1. Send photos via WhatsApp — every room, every item. Don't leave surprises for the crew.
  2. Be specific about quantities. "Some boxes" could mean four or forty. Count them.
  3. Describe access honestly. Which floor, is there a working lift, any narrow corridors or tight staircases?
  4. Confirm your handover timing. We need to know the hard deadline, not a rough estimate.

Photos let us quote accurately and dispatch the right vehicle — whether that's a van for a few leftover pieces or a lorry for an entire flat's contents.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you really come tomorrow? Possibly. It depends on our schedule and your location. Message us with photos and your deadline — we'll tell you within the hour whether we can slot you in. Urgent jobs may incur additional charges.

What about my landlord's inspection timing? Give us the inspection time and we work backwards. If the agent needs the flat clear by a specific hour, that's our target. We've done this enough to plan around it.

What if the new tenant moves in the same day? We've handled same-day turnarounds many times. As long as we have a confirmed window before the next occupant's movers arrive, we can clear and be gone.

What if the landlord wants certain items kept? Tell us before we arrive. Walk us through what stays and what goes — ideally with labelling or a marked-up photo. We only remove what you've confirmed for disposal.
